Not sure if I missed the gist of this thread, but: I carried a "Micro-Start XP-10 Jump Starter Personal Power Supply" by Antigravity Batteries for the last trip. Didn't need it for the bike, but have used it many times since. Will start a diesel truck. I am sure there are many on the market, but this one does appear to be very well made, and so far, is exceeding expectations.
