Yes, indeed, thanks to Len.

A pity that the “Londonderry Sentinel” didn’t cover Cookstown, Tyrone, where my namesake Great-Uncle (my grandfather’s brother), James Huey, conducted a business as a Watchmaker in William Street, Cookstown, from about 1859 to 1866, then moving to Belfast – in several premises as a jeweller/watchmaker until his death in 1898, when the business passed to his son George Huey.

Yes, indeed, thanks to Len. A pity that the “Londonderry Sentinel” didn’t cover Cookstown, Tyrone, where my namesake Great-Uncle (my grandfather’s brother), James Huey, conducted a business as a Watchmaker in William Street, Cookstown, from about 1859 to 1866, then moving to Belfast – in several premises as a jeweller/watchmaker until his death in 1898, when the business passed to his son George Huey. Thanks for your message, and yes, the Londonderry papers covered Cookstown events extensively; see my files submitted to Jim McKane. I searched for any reference to your grandfather’s brother but sadly, was unsuccessful.
Have any timepieces from James survived?
