Question on painting clutch and master cylinder covers

Just checking ... anything to be aware of when painting the lids to the clutch and master cylinders?

Mine are nasty (2004 + 2006), they need a cleaning and painting.

Brake fluid eats paint so a hard enamel would be a good idea.  What I
usually do is just remove all the pain, sand and polish them.

When I repainted mine, I left the edges, or sides, unpainted since it
seemed that where brake fluid would first appear and eat off the paint. A
little wire wheeling made them look polished.

I would sand then poplish as paint and brake fluid are a poor match...If you do wish to paint then consider an Epoxy paint...if its still available...
