I agree and at one point it lived in our living room with xmas lights on it
but I was not the sort at the time to have Ducatis as furniture :)

Sorry, but a Ducati should never be furniture. Either it is thrashing about
on the twisties, or on display as an ornamental fixture (though never
permanent) in the living room. You never sit on it when in the living room
you sit back and admire it, remembering the last time you opened the
throttle and felt the immense pull of that desmodromic V-twin, not to
mention admiring the stunningly exquisite lines of the bodywork.
