[m5-users] default output directory

Currently, the default output directory of m5 is the current working
directory.  Personally, I find that pretty annoying since I almost
never want M5 to litter the current working directory with output.
How do people feel about me making the default output directory
"./m5.out".  This could of course be overridden with the -d option as
usual.  I will also be creating a .m5rc in the near future where all
of these options can be easily set, so if people hate the idea I can
do it in my own .m5rc file.

I like the idea, but not the name. m5-out or m5_out or maybe just
output seem like better names.

I like the idea, but not the name. m5-out or m5_out or maybe just
output seem like better names.

I just randomly picked it.  Add "m5out" to the list? Any other
opinions?  While I'm at it, should I change any other default names?
Maybe:
m5stats.txt -> stats
config.ini -> config
console.foo.sim_console -> foo.console

None of this is required.  Just if I'm going to change one default and
there is a desire to change others, doing all at once would probably
be a good idea.

I think m5_out might be compatible with more file naming

conventions, although I haven't actually checked. "output" already
exists in the output of spec regressions which might be a little confusing.

i would vote for a "m5-out" directory....

The file names seem fine to me...

i'm down with this.  m5-out or m5_out are cool with me.  not m5.out - that
seems like it would be a file rather than a dir.
