Anyone have Fleetwood Mac LPs or CDs I could borrow for tomorrow's show?
Maybe you could swing them by the station for me?
Can anyone suggest the 10 best songs that really feature Christine McVie?
Ones that would sound good on Morning Cup? Things she wrote that are
important, her performance standing out, anything like that?
I should do a tribute tomorrow morning and I got nuthin'.
Thanks,
Neal
PS - This is likely to happen a lot in coming years. There are a WHOLE
bunch of musicians that are getting to that age that are in a pocket of
music I don't know much about, own any of, have connection to. If anyone
wants to sign up now to do the "BIG NAME 60s/70s ARTIST HERE" tribute
when the time comes, let me know. The music and musicians that are the
bread and butter, long time favorites, core artists of the majority of the
age group/demographic that listens to KCBX are not really top artists for
me. All of the blues and soul and r&B and jazz musicians that died during
my first 25 years of my show were tributes I can do. The mainstream pop,
rock, songwriter, AOR things of the late 60s through the 70s are like music
from mars to me. So, keep that in mind. If you can think of an artist that
is living now but will need a tribute in the future that comes from that
ballpark, think about how you would do a tribute to them. And if you would
want to do it on Morning Cup. Or at least help me do it on the Morning Cup.
Thanks.
For now, I need some Fleetwood Mac suggestions and media to play.

Here’s a link to a good article. But pretty much the top five are these:
Everywhere
Don’t stop
Over my head
You make loving fun
Say you love me
Sorry, I have no CDs. I gave them all away.

Hi Neal,
Sorry for the late reply but the only music from Christine McVie I’ve
played and listened to in the last 15 years or so is from when she was part
of Chicken Shack - I believe back in the 60’s?
