As I said, qualifying don’t mean jackfruit.

Oliveira was 8th. Look where he ended up today.

Wait, maybe we're all missing something. If you discount crashing, and
include spectacular moments as part of your measure, then perhaps we should
consider Zarco as the greatest current MotoGP rider. Yes, MM93, has a
stellar history of phenomenal saves, always worth a second look. But, his
performances pail in comparison to the incredible performance JZ5 initiated
last Sunday. Zarco is the ZingBangJeezus! king of gluing our eyes to the
screen. Marquez is a mere sideshow.

It all depends on how you measure.

Nah man, qualifying, fps ain’t sh!t  come Sunday. They ain’t got the

same race craft as MM. Yes he crashed and unfortunately his bike F’d him up

If qualifying don't mean jackshit, why do riders put so much effort into
those 15 minutes of meaningless activity?

BTW, Olivera started from 4th in the second race, the one that counts. He
was in 3rd for most of it until 43 and 44 opened the door for him to pass.
In the first race, where he did start from 8th, the board had him at 7th
when the race was red flagged. Somehow, he got up to 4th between the crash
and the restart (I have not bothered to figure this out). So, for the most
of two parts of today's race, he managed to advance one place each part,
till he got the gift at the end. Not to take away from Oli, he was there,
ready, anticipated the opening and executed that pass beautifully. An
exciting finish to an eventful race.

Or, if you mean a qualifying lap does not equate to race victories, I would
ask your bff Marquez if there is any connection between his astounding
qualifying performances and his race results.

KK, you must be watching virtual races again per Lan.  Clearly if the other 8 guys weren’t there, Rossi would have won too.

Wait, didn't Rossi slip stream Oli and finish 2nd. Maybe I am watching
virtual races. But, even in a virtual race, how does a rider who is 7th
when the race is red flagged end up 4th on the restart grid?

Because they think they can win when they’re up front lol

Marquez is up front most of the time because he’s just naturally fast. And
its better to be up front so the rider doesn’t get pushed around by hungry
slow sharks. “Less traffic” and less work.
Just because a rider poles doesn’t mean they’ll win. Remember rossi back
then? Sucked at qualifying but yet still won many races.

MM93 can win even when he’s in last position. But  naturally fast and can
pole most of the time. He’s fast and smart. You don’t think so?

Oliveira won fair and square. Doesn’t matter if it was gifted as you called
it. He rode well and smart as he deserved it more than Pol.

Pol Will be kicking himself in the ass when he moves to Honda. They value
him at KTM. Honda will spit him out.  Stupid move..

Honda just bought him out to try and weaken KTM. He will never win with the
Honda!
In Crutchlow’s words “if you’re fighting  with your bike now, wait till you
jump on a Honda”
