Hey folks,
Rode my 900SS/CR for the first time in almost two years and was absolutely thrilled with the performance and feeling of being hurled down the road by that thumping V-twin, but alas, my back was hurting after just 30 minutes onboard. Which got me thinking that if it were more comfortable, I would ride it a lot more. (that's not why I hadn't ridden it in almost two years, long story there...). Anyway, I remember seeing a 900SS with ST2 bar risers on it and thinking it was a seamless look, like they were built and installed for that bike. A guy I know has a couple sets of ST2 risers that are of different configurations and I don't have a clue which ones would fit my bike. He also has a set of Heli-bars.
Does anyone here have any experience or insight into doing this modification? Which ST2 risers work on a '96 900SS/CR with the stock forks? Do I have to change the triple clamp too? Anyone put Heli-bars on a 900SS?
Thanks in advance,
Mario
