Full Ducati/squirrel content. Was on my old 996 in the mountains east of San Diego years ago and a squirrel dashed out onto the road in front of me (as they do - usually indecisive but this one was going places). While not yet at the apex of the upcoming right turn, I was committed to a line and ran over him/her/it with my front wheel. Talk about contact patch and feedback. I felt every squishy, shearing, hide-on-muscle ripple as the bike slipped several inches to the left before exiting the squirrel's apex and making contact with asphalt again. Not sure whatever happened to that squirrel. I made the turn. Sorry if anyone is still eating breakfast.
