MM showed an amazing performance on yesterday’s race. Although I’m not a
fan, I do agree that the guy has amazing skills.
If it wasn’t because of the fall he would’ve easily won this race. This
year‘s calendar is not set up to the advantage of injuries and recovery.
All races are way to close who will throw off the chances to win a
championship very slim.
Now back to the race, We has seeing MM do the same race technique which if
I’m not mistaken it was the one At COTA were he parked his bike, ran to the
paddock, get on his other bike and finishes the race to Win it.
I do think that Quartararo has strong potential this year and more now
since MM will be out probably for months. Maverick has potential but I
don’t see him as strong as Quartararo.
Sadly Rins is injured and Cal so not sure if they will have enough time to
recoup those points.
It was an awesome race.

Any word on what injuries Marquez sustained? It always amazes me how the
riders can break something and come back and ride. I would not count him
out yet. I too am not a fan but his moving through the pack was something
to watch. Valintino will need to retire soon, Marquez went by him like he
was backing up. I will truly mourn the day Rossi retires but I really do
think it is time.
I was shocked that NBC ran the entire race with virtually no commercials.
The pre race and post race was full but the race itself was pretty much
undisturbed.

Not to take away from Marquez, but didn't Pedrosa do something similar at

maybe 4th, or 5th.

Broken humerus requiring surgery - no word on that just yet.
Let's note - he also went by Dovi like he was standing still - and closed
up on Maverick like he was a track day rider. Rossi had a shit weekend,
but his bike was broken as well hence his retirement from the race.

FWIW I bought a 1 month subscription and also recorded NBCSports the broadcast of the race was the same, none of the chit-chat leading up to the race which I really don't care about. So you are paying for Moto2/3 and qualifying which I do care about, so I'll probably renew. I wonder if it will include WSBK? So glad for Dovi's results. And it was a good race, though not as good as the AFT Singles race Saturday night. - Gene

I listened to the Doctors video from the track. They said they didn’t know if the nerve was involved but they were concerned because the break is very close to the nerve. He was in a lot of pain so they gave him pain killers and are transferring him to Barcelona.
At the risk of sounding unsympathetic it’s hard to miss the irony of the huge medical break Márquez was given by the schedule delay only to end up hurt worse at the first delayed race of the season. His massive talent and his incredible luck has created the package of all time. If there is such a thing as “luck running out” we might have just seen it. In my opinion COVID or no COVID 2020 wasn’t likely to be his year. Which is a shame because whoever wins this year their championship will always have an asterisk * MM out due to injury.
Also, interesting that Luca Marino won Moto2. Rossi is saying he’s 99% to the Yamaha satellite team but he has also always said he would retire when Luca was ready to pick up his baton. In my opinion we are there now.
