Hey everyone. If anybody is going to MotoGP this weekend and has an
opportunity to find a clutch cylinder for a 2008 Hypermotard, I’m in
somewhat desperate need of one. I don’t know what other years/models will
fit, but I’m halfway between Giddings and Austin and this one’s both
leaking and losing pressure.
Any help is appreciated!

Well, no dealer has this part in stock nationwide. So, if anybody has a
line on an Oberon, ducabike or yoyodyne (he’ll, or any manufacturer’s)
clutch slave and can overnight it to me, I would be very interested in
speaking to you.
Thanks

It would. There are only like four part numbers for the past 20 years and
they only really changed when they added the anti-rotation function on the
panigale.
That said, I don’t know what the overnight snipping options look like after
6pm. I’m leaving tomorrow one way or another.
Thanks,
Garth

Might sound weird but if you push the bike while it’s running to a decent speed you may be able to snick it into 2nd and then just clutch less shift as necessary. Tricky and not ideal but I’ve done worse in a pinch for sure.
Not sure how far you have to ride so gas stops and lights will suck but you start to figure out how to manage them if you time it all right.
Good luck!

Hey everyone. If anybody is going to MotoGP this weekend and has an opportunity to find a clutch cylinder for a 2008 Hypermotard, I’m in somewhat desperate need of one. I don’t know what other years/models will fit, but I’m halfway between Giddings and Austin and this one’s both leaking and losing pressure.
Any help is appreciated!

It actually runs and drives, apart from my having to stop and refill it
with fluid. The problem is that it feels like it’s dragging the clutch,
causing stalls. I have no problem riding without a clutch (though traffic
is not fun). It’s the stalling that’s problematic.
I might be able to nurse it home. But it’s far better for everyone if I
don’t.
Thanks,

I've ridden home several times with no clutch. Dualsport, much lighter
to push up to speed and piston no where near as heavy as on a Duc.
Tried it with the ST2 and could get starts working with a slope and a
long push, but found it impractical.
In traffic and at lights yeah it sucks, but it is doable. Helps with a
buddy providing a gap too!
